About Telford & Wrekin Council’s Cost of Living Grant
Telford & Wrekin Council is the local authority for the Telford and Wrekin borough in
Shropshire. It is an award-winning co-operative council and its approach is informed
by the views and voices of residents, communities, and partners.
Its Cost of Living Grant was set aside in 2022 in recognition that the rising cost of
living is increasing financial pressures on many households and that this is likely to
worsen during the colder months. Many will have to choose between heating and
eating. The grant is to help provide welcoming warm places for residents to visit,
where they can have something to eat and take part in social activities, helping to
bring communities together at this difficult time.
Residents who are worried about the cost of living and rise of energy bills can find useful information on Telford and Borough Wrekin Council website.
